It was narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I am leaving you with two precious things, one of them is greater than the other, the Book of Allah is a rope. which is suspended from the sky to the earth and my offspring are my household and these two things will not be separated until they both come to my reservoir
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری ؓ سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وآلہ ‌وسلم ‌ نے فرمایا: میں تم میں دو بیش قیمت چیزیں چھوڑ کر جا رہا ہوں، ان میں سے ایک دوسری سے بڑی ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ کی کتاب ایک رسی ہے، جس کو آسمان سے زمین کی طرف لٹکایا گیا ہے اور میری نسل میرے اہل بیت ہیں اور یہ دونوں چیزیں جدا نہیں ہوں گی، یہاں تک کہ دونوں میرے حوض پر آ جائیں گی
